CASSIE

Get help from a therapist who uses humor & heart to make healing from anxiety & OCD feel lighter.

Hi, I’m Cassie.

Approaching your anxiety or OCD can feel daunting, even scary, but it’s also one of the bravest choices you can make. I try to keep things real in therapy- using humor, compassion, and curiosity to help you feel safe opening up and exploring how your anxiety and OCD affect you.

As someone who has personally experienced anxiety, I understand how facing your fears can lead to real and lasting change. Watching my clients experience this same transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

We’ll take things at your pace as you learn to face fears and build a life that feels bigger, freer, and more aligned with what matters most to you. I’ll be there to help you feel seen and supported through the process.

In my work with young adults who feel deeply impaired by OCD:

Let’s be real; adulting is hard enough. Adding OCD into the mix can make it feel 1,000 times harder. When OCD becomes overwhelming, your world can start to shrink. Everyday tasks like showering, praying, or reaching out for reassurance can take over your time and energy.

You deserve more than a life ruled by OCD. I will help you learn to quiet your OCD thoughts and feel more confident to replace your OCD compulsions or rituals with living your life the way you want, not what OCD wants. Whether you’re preparing for college, starting a new job, or simply learning to care for yourself again, I’ll be there to help you take those steps toward independence and a bigger, more fulfilling life.

In my work with people whose phobias are taking over their life:

Have you ever struggled with a specific fear that you do everything in your power to stay away from? To the point where you avoid it at all cost? Spiders, heights, throwing up, blood: these are all examples of phobias that can impact your everyday life.

Maybe for you, it’s not pursuing a career in nursing due to the fear of blood or needles, or struggling with being a new mom due to fear of throwing up. Whatever specific phobia you’re struggling with, I am here to help you!

We will work together to slowly and intentionally approach these fears and phobias and learn coping skills to support you along the way. You can still live a life worth living while experiencing these fears and phobias.

Let’s get you in the driver’s seat and confidently learn how to navigate this together.

My Professional Background

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in both Arizona and Illinois, with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University.

My specialization in OCD and anxiety began in 2019 when I trained at Rogers Behavioral Health, a well-known behavioral health clinic in Wisconsin and Illinois. From then on, I devoted my training and career to evidence-based treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support and work with those living with OCD and anxiety.
As a therapist, I have run different group therapy sessions as well as led continuing education trainings and courses on ERP to educate other clinicians in the field.

In my free time, you’ll find me going for a run or hike with my husband, cooking a new recipe, or hanging out with my cat, Bella.
